About Noah Project

Ben Mejia- founder of Noah Project- started creating as a boy growing up in southern California. Early on he saw his dad’s work and a seed of interest was planted deep in the inner soil of wonderment. Drawing in church, in art class, at home, from books, movies, and the logos and images from the brands that made the cool kids cool he seemed to always zero in on the details. Details are what he strived to replicate from the artists and artwork that spoke to him.

As time progressed so did an awareness of his own ability. After finishing high school in Hawaii he continued his education in art there intending to major in Graphic Design. It was a move to utilize his creative imagination, build a career, and maintain a life in the kind of place he had dreamed of living in.

In the midst of his college education Ben found a spiritual path that resulted in a life revolution.  After that art took a seat in the way back and only occasionally came up again for brief creative re-awakenings. However, it wasn’t to be that way forever. The desire to create was difficult to suppress and his way of life was still evolving. The path that had led to such a deep shift was merging gradually into another newer one.

Blowing on cold creative embers and warming dormant muscle memories, Ben reopened a channel for his creativity in such projects as branding for Big Creek Nursery where he’d been working, and building imagery for his wife’s artisan pie business among others….. (more to come).
